Rick Santorum was expected to win Minnesota and most likely Missouri but Colorado? Mitt Romney led in the polls by as much as 10% by some accounts prior to Tuesday’s shocker, but Santorum’s momentum in the midwest may have impacted the Colorado vote where polls closed an hour later. More intriguing is what the unallocated delegates number tells us. With 66 delegates still uncounted, not to mention the 52 as yet won delegates in Missouri, a majority of which Santorum will likely pick up, this has just become a neck and neck race between Santorum and Romney. Today’s results just might have the nation wondering if Newt Gingrich has much of a chance.
