Video: Mitt Romney is winning the YouTube campaign

Newt Gingrich in Bloomington, Minnesota

Ron Paul on The Record with Greta Van Susteren from Minnesota

Each of these videos comes from YouTube. Two weeks ago, reporter Jackie Hicken wrote a piece that explored Campaigning in the era of YouTube. In it, she writes, “With the rise of new media, the ability to influence voters has spread to the masses, and campaigns face the danger of living or dying based on oft-repeated, often biased 30-second video compilations and soundbites.” The four remaining candidates can all be found on YouTube but according to a recent Google trend, it appears that Mitt Romney appears to have the organization, funds and experts to best exploit it.
