From 1984-98, Mitt Romney worked for Bain Capital. There were 77 companies involved with Bain during that time, and some failed, some sputtered, but multiple others were raging successes. Here is a sample of where the Romney wealth came from.

The blurb mentions 77 companies, but the link only takes you to 10. It doesn’t list colassal failures like GST Steel.

Your term ‘Colossal Failure’ is absurd……tell me what condition you think GST steel (and it’s employees ) would have been for the seven years prior to the bankruptcy ……’out of business’
Think about this Carl, GM was on the same precipice as GST was when they needed help…..what happened. The US government, came to the rescue ( with ‘our’ $$$ )……now pay attention here, this is very important, in order to ‘TURN AROUND’ the (our) investment into a (hopefully ) profitable investment; Pontiac and Oldsmobile (and maybe others) divisions are ELIMINATED…..gone- kaput…..most, if not all of the employees got the shaft…..all of the outside suppliers for parts got the shaft, 100′s if not 1000′s of GM dealerships lost their lifetime of work and investments…..as well as those third party vendors who supplied the dealerships with their wares…..
Do you get it, Carl……our government replicated what any sound buyer / investment company would implement RESTRUCTURE – CUT THE FAT into a lean machine…..and unfortunately , some very hard working, dedicated people got hurt in thee process……through no fault of their own.
